Outside of the boss fight, Brutus can be taken down like any other zombie by shooting his weak point (his head) until he is killed. He has significantly more health than a normal zombie and can be a bullet sponge if you do not have a strong enough weapon.

During the Blood of the Dead boss fight, multiple Brutuses spawn, all having no difference from the original; only during the final phase is there a major difference, with that being the size, health, and damage he does. The Magmagat easily takes out this variant of Brutus.
