Elemental Shield Upgrade

This side quest has players collect a firework from pipes found around the ship, and use it to cause flying skeleton to crash into an iceberg, launching a piece of it into the Ballistic Shield workbench, upgrading it into the Svailinn Guard.

Obtaining the Firework

There are five pipes around the map, one of which will have a firework stuck inside that you must shoot to free. Once freed, you'll need to revist all the other pipes to free the firework from that pipe, sending it into one of three baskets around the map.

Assembling the Flying Skeleton

Head to the Mail Rooms and use your Ballistic Shield to bash the code breaker off of the safe in the room, then interact with it on the floor to pick it up.

You'll now need to go to four different bones around the map and remember the code on a piece of paper near each of the bones. These numbers will always be the same four codes, but which bone they are associated with will change every game.

You'll need to shoot the bottles off the box to reveal the piece of paper with the code.

At this point, you should have four codes each associated with a different bone.

Once you have all four codes, you'll need to place the Code Breaker on four different safes around the map. The code breaker will then show one of the four codes and open the safe. You'll need to grab the bone associated with the code and place it in the safe.

If done correctly, the safe will have a purple glow around it, and you can bash the Code Breaker off the safe using the Ballistic Shield to move onto the next safe.

Safe Locations

Once you've inserted the bones into safes, head to the Cargo Hold and interact with the skeleton in the car left of the Fast Travel Portal to have it sink into the floor.

Shoot down the Flying Skeleton

Head up to the Forecastle and the skeleton will now be flying around the ship. You'll need to place the firework in the white tube opposite the Danu Perk Statue, then shoot the firework while he is flying over it to stick the firework onto the bottom of the car.

There are three other white tubes, one to the right of the Danu Perk Statue, and two others on the Poop Deck, however the one shown above is the easiest to do this step on. If you miss the firework will respawn after one-minute. If you take too long, you'll need to flip the round for the flying skeleton to spawn back in.

After some time, the flying skeleton will crash into an iceberg, sending a chunk of it back to the ship, and into the Ballistic Shield, upgrading it into the Svalinn Guard elemental shield.
