Stake Knife

This side quest has players remember the order of four symbols in the Forest, then shoot four rocks containing those symbols in the same order with a Silver Bullets weapon, melee and shield bash a tree with those symbols to collect a branch, then finally kill 15 Nosferatu zombies to charge the branch and craft the Stake Knife.

Requirements

• Silver Bullets weapon
• Bowie Knife
• Ballistic Shield

Getting the Symbol order

Head to the Forest and find the tree with a lantern on it, right of the SDM wall buy and position yourself in front of the lantern tree to reveal the four symbols on the surrounding trees.

You'll want to remember the these symbols in the following order:

1. Left tree
2. Back tree
3. Lantern tree
4. Right tree

The order is always the same, but the symbols can change from game to game.

Shooting the rocks

If you fail this step, you will have to restart your game to attempt this quest again.

Once you have your symbol order, you must shoot four different rocks containing these symbols on them, in the same order using a Silver Bullets weapon. The locations of these rocks are as follows:

You'll know if you've shot the correct rock if you see and hear a sparkle effect from the rock.

Obtaining the Stake Knife

Head back to the Forest, where you'll find a large tree with the same four symbols on it. Using the Bowie Knife, you must melee the four symbols in the same original order to scratch them out, then use the Ballistic Shield to bash the symbols until the tree falls over.

Once the tree falls over, interact with the branch on the ground to collect it, and bring it to the Mausoleum and place it on the pedestal to begin charging the branch by killing 15 Nosferatu zombies.

Once you've killed enough Nosferatu zombies, the branch will be glowing and you can pick it up, and head to the workbench in the Cemetery Path to craft the Stake Knife.
