Free Winter's Howl

This side quest has players find four sets of codes each associated with a specific map and input them into the computer in the War Room: Lower Level, then survive three full rounds in Groom Lake to reveal the Winter's Howl weapon case for you to open and collect the weapon.

Requirements

• Power turned on
• Grenade or Acid Grenade
• Pack-a-Punched weapon

Kino Code

The first code can be obtained by flipping the four DEFCON switches in the following order:

Once you have entered DEFCON 5, entering the Panic Room using the teleporter in the center of the War Room and interact with the static screen on the left-hand wall to reveal the code.

Der Riese Code

Interact with the key rack next to the Cola Perk Machine to collect a key you can use to unlock one of the desks in the Main Offices, revealing the second code.

Shangri-La Code

Head down to South Laboratories, just outside of Weapon Testing, in a window barrier, throw a grenade into the machine inside, revealing the third code on the wall.

Shi No Numa Code

Head to the Deserted Hallway, and with a Pack-a-Punched weapon, shoot the nameplates in the following order:

1. Washington
2. Franklin
3. Hamilton
4. Lincoln

The code will be revealed underneath the Washington nameplate.

Claiming the Winter's Howl

Head down to the War Room: Lower Level, and enter the four codes into the computer with a number ticker on it in the following order:

1. Shi No Numa Code
2. Der Riese Code
3. Shangri-La Code
4. Kino Code

Once that is done, head to Groom Lake and survive three full rounds in the area to reveal the Winter's Howl weapon case that you can interact with to claim the Wonder Weapon to the left of the Pack-a-Punch machine.
