This side quest has players use the Masamune (Upgraded KT-4) and Skull of Nan Sapwe to reveal hidden plans and destroy some vines, revealing a spore that releases a gas that, when inhaled by an enemy zombie, will transform them into a Friendly Thrasher.
Requirements
Step 1: Reveal the Spore
Head to the Living Quarters room in the Bunker and mesmerise the plans poster on the wall near the Purple Water.
Afterwards, head to the Operations Room and mesmerise the left-hand side wall of the entrance, revealing vines that you must shoot down with the Masamune (Upgraded KT-4) to reveal the spore.
Step 2: Create a Friendly Thrasher
Shoot the spore to release the gas and lure a zombie into the gas to transform them into a Friendly Thrasher that will attack and kill other zombies, except for other Thrashers. This process can be repeated any number of times; you'll just have to wait for the spore to reform like any other spore.
Friendly Thrashers can be indentified by the white smoke emitting from them and their glowing white eyes. These allies can survive for up to three full rounds before eventually dying.
