Hats & Masks

This side quest requires players to complete specific objectives to obtain a unique hat/mask for an added benefit that enhances gameplay and/or survivability.

Spoiler Alert: The Apothicon Mask is the best mask in the game and is the hardest to obtain, but is extremely worth it especially if you are attempting the Main Quest.

Wolf Hat

This hat grants you the purple Stamin-Upperk, which increases your sprint duration. To obtain this hat, head to the Der Eisendrache area of the map and throw a grenade in the hole where the Wolf King is buried, where you would obtain the Wolf Bow Reforged Arrow, and a wolf skull should fall out.

Afterwards, activate the Anti-Gravity to cause the wolf skull to begin floating. Once floating, you must kill 15 zombies near the skull to collect souls. Once enough souls have been collected, the skull will disappear, and you can claim the Wolf Hat from a mannequin in the Kino Der Toten area.

Helmet of Siegfried

This hat grants you the purple Juggernog, which increases your health by one hit from all enemies. To obtain this hat, shoot the numbers 9, 3, 5 on the clock above the Der Eisendrache area of the map.

Afterwards, you must get headshot kills near four urns found around the map in the following locations:

Once all four urns have been filled with souls from the headshot kills, you can claim the Viking Hat from a mannequin in the Kino Der Toten area.

Keeper Mask

This mask grants you the purple Juggernog, which increases your health by one hit from all enemies, +50% damage reduction from corrupted keepers, +33% increased damage to corrupted keepers, and the Keeper Protector lasts 30 seconds longer.

To obtain this mask, you'll have to build the Keeper Protector and activate it for 5000 points, and let it get around 30 kills. You'll hear a completion sound when the Keeper Protector has killed enough zombies. If you've unlocked the Wolf Hat in your game, you won't have to do the next step and can claim the Keeper Mask from a mannequin in the Kino Der Toten area.

If you have not obtained the Wolf Hat in your game, you will need to kill seven corruputed keepers with a Corruption Turret to obtain the Keeper Mask.

Margwa Mask

This mask grants you +50% damage reduction from Margwas, +33% increased damage to Margwas, and purple Stamin-Up. To obtain his mask, you must kill all three types of Margwas (Void, Fire, Normal) with three shots total per Margwa (one shot per head). Once completed, you can claim the Margwa Mask from a mannequin in the Kino Der Toten area of the map.

If you are having trouble with this, the easiest way to complete it is using a Sniper Rifle like the Drakon. Using a wonder weapon to damage a Margwa will invalidate that Margwa from counting towards the mask.

Fury Mask

This mask grants you purple Juggernog, +33 damage reduction from Furies, and +50% damage to Furies. To obtain this mask, you must headshot kill around 15 Apothicon Furies. Afterwards, you can claim the mask from a mannequin in the Kino Der Toten area of the map.

Helmet of the King

This mask grants you +50% damage reduction from Elite Enemies (Panzers and Margwas), +33% damage to elites, no damage or stun from death effects or the Panzer's emp grenades, and purple Stamin-Up. To obtain this helmet, you must kill two Panzersoldats, one by only shooting its power core located on its chest, and the other by only shooting its head until the face mask pops off.

Reminder: Purple Stamin-Upgrants you increased sprint duration.

Once completed, you must kill 50 zombies using traps such as the Electro-Shock Defenses in Verruckt or the Flogger in the Origins area of the map. Afterwards, you can claim the Helmet of the King from a mannequin in the Kino Der Toten area of the map.

Apothicon Mask

This mask grants you purple Juggernog, purple Stamin-Up, +33% damage reduction from all enemies, and +50% increased damage to all enemies. To obtain this mask, you must complete the following objectives while inside the Apothicon Stomach Acid Pool, while the green gas is visible.

• Kill 50 zombies

• Kill 5 Spiders

• Kill 5 Parasites

• Kill 10 Furies

• Kill 5 Keepers

• Kill all 3 Margwa types

IMPORTANT: All of these kills MUST happen within the Acid Pool, you and the enemy killed must be in the Acid Pool. The Thundergun and Apothicon Servant are extremely helpful and safe options to complete this easily.

Once completed, you can claim the Apothicon Mask from a mannequin in the Kino Der Toten area of the map.
