This side quest has players use the 
In Plain SightGobbleGum and the Wrath of the Ancients, or any upgraded bow, to shoot three floating skulls while the GobbleGum is active.

Wrath of the Ancients or upgraded bow
Once all three skulls have been shot with a bow, all newly spawned zombies will be turned into skeletons. This effect will last for the entire game.
Head to the Church, and on a chair opposite the fireplace in the middle of the room, there will be three skulls that you can interact with to destroy them, disabling the effect.
