The first and most common enemy type. Varying in speeds, zombies provide the most basic threat on their own but will quickly become a challenge in hordes.
The best way to take down zombies is to maintain your distance and attack them from a safe range. Base Zombies will always try to melee you and will only ever attack you from range if you are in a spot they cannot path to. This feature was first introduced in Black Ops: Cold War and only exists in other titles newer than Cold War.
