Description

Valkyrie Drones are a special enemy type originating from the map Gorod Krovi. These enemies appear as flying drones with three tentacle-like arms and a red eye.

Attacks

Lightning Beam

Range: Medium

Charges up lightning to unleash it as a beam towards the player, damaging them on hit.

Self Destruct

Range: Short

Charges the player self-destructing once within melee range.

Spawn Behavior

Valkyrie Drones spawn between rounds 9-12, then every 8-10 rounds after that acting as the maps special round. When the special round starts, the map will have a slight blue hue to it, and brief electricity will encircle the screen.

Combat Strategy

Valkyrie Drones are dangerous in numbers, as multiple Lightning Beam attacks hitting you will cause critical damage. For this reason, it's best to take them out from a distance with a weapon like the Drakon, dealing high damage to their weak points while staying safe. Powerful shotguns are also very effective against drones since they tend to get close before charging their attack.
