Description

Space Monkeys are a special enemy appearing on the map Ascension, attempting to steal the player's perks by attacking the perk machines.

Swings at players when within melee range.

Perk Steal

Range: Short

Repeated banging on Perk Machines until they are destroyed, causing all players to lose that perk.

Spawn Behavior

Space Monkeys will first appear after four to five rounds, after the first perk has been purchased. Arriving on lunar landers crashing into the ground with the map having a yellow-orange tint, and the announcer saying, 'Warning. Re-entry detected. All security personnel on high alert.'

Combat Strategy

Space Monkeys will only attack two perk machines at a time; any monkeys involved in breaking that machine will start targeting players while others continue attacking perk machines. The monkeys can be killed fairly easily; the challenge is figuring out which perk machines they are targeting and protecting them. The Thundergun is amazing for clearing out multiple monkeys, especially if they are all trying to bang on a perk machine.

The Pentagon Thief is a special enemy appearing in the map 'Five', periodically trying to steal the player's weapons forcing them to reacquire the weapon if successful.
