Amalgams are extremely tanky elite enemies, with their only threatening attack being the Tongue Grab for the same reasons as the Mimic, displacing you and potentially putting you in an unsurvivable situation. The best way to deal with Amalgams is to use a powerful weapon equipped with the Dead Wire or Shadow Rift ammo mods, allowing you to deal extra damage via their elemental weakness.

Typically, until the very late rounds (about 50+), non-wonder weapons with these elemental weaknesses are more consistent at killing Amalgams effectively, due to their weak points moving around their body, and with the addition of Double Tap in Black Ops 6.
